Description
These little rodents do not hibernate and have to rely on the food they collect in the autumn for the cold season. If the winter is long, these supplies can become scarce. Then the dexterous climbers are happy to accept additional food offers from us humans.
In contrast to other garden inhabitants, these clever animals can easily lift the protective lid of the feeding station to get at the nuts and kernels behind the acrylic sheet. The feeding station is safe from martens if attached to trees at a height of at least 2.50 m.
